91년생 영국 출생의 Ed Sheeran.
나이같이 않은 외모와 음악성. 천재라고 불리기에 손색이 없다.
12살 때 데미안 라이스의 공연에서 데미안을 만나 음악적으로 성숙해졌다고 한다.
2010년에는 혼자 미국으로 건너가 버스킹을 하는데 이 때 제이미 폭스의 눈에 띄어 그의 도움을 받기도 한다.
2011년에 첫 앨범을 발표하는데 이 후 현재까지 최고의 싱어송라이터의 반열에 오른다.
참고로 저스틴 비버의 메가히트곡 Love Yourself의 작사, 작곡도 하였다. 그와 매우 친하다고..
하지만 지금 소개하는 이 곡. 올해 발표한 그의 3집에 실린 <Shape of you>는 팬들의 반응은 좋았지만 표절시비에 휘말려 있다. TLC의 <No Scrubs>와 매우 비슷하다. 결국 그 노래의 작곡가를 <Shape of You>의 작곡가에 포함시키면서 인정을 했다. 또한 그의 노래 <photograph>는 아예 228억원을 주고 원작자와 합의를 하면서 표절을 인정해버리는 꼴이 되고 말았다.
잘나가던 젊은 싱어송라이터에게 닥친 시련. 하지만 그는 나이와 맞지 않는 베테랑 음악인이다.
이 노래 <Shape of you>는 <Love Yourself>와 함께 올해 내가 가장 많이 들은 노래 중 하나.
정말 흥겨운 노래이다. 들어보면 후회안하는 곡 중 하나.
